Florida Keys & Bahia Honda State Park
Our absolute favorite places to visit in Florida are the Florida Keys and Bahia Honda State Park in Big Pine Key. We first visited the Keys back in July of 2002 while on vacation, and we were taken aback by the beauty surrounding us. We drove the whole length of the Keys all the way down to Key West, the southernmost point of the Keys, and stayed for a couple of nights. The drive down took us over 3 hours — we made some stops along the way, including a stop at Bahia Honda State Park.
Our next visit to the Florida Keys was in July of 2004, and this time, we returned to Bahia Honda State Park with our digital camera in hand and spent the day capturing some amazing photos (see photo gallery below).
If you ever get the chance to visit the Florida Keys, plan a visit to Bahia Honda State Park (Mile Marker 37) in Big Pine Key — and as always, remember to bring your camera to capture those spectacular views and sunsets the Keys are known for.
