I’m Jim Fuhrmann, a aspiring chef based in Connecticut and the founder of @TheAspiringChef, a digital space on VMIPub that serves as my culinary hub. After three decades in technology and photography, I’m shifting my focus and reconnecting with the culinary industry.

Alongside professional instruction through an intensive self-directed culinary arts training program, I immerse myself in my personal library of culinary textbooks and cookbooks. Notable titles include Professional Cooking by Wayne Gisslen, The Professional Chef by The Culinary Institute of America, and On Food and Cooking by Harold McGee, to name just a few.
